Bat Removal & Exclusion

Safe, humane bat removal and long-term exclusion solutions.

At 1st Priority Pest Control, we specialize in professional bat removal and exclusion for homes and businesses throughout central Mississippi. We safely remove existing bats, seal off entry points, and install one-way devices so bats can exit without returning—ensuring lasting protection for your home.

Our Bat Removal Process

1. Inspection & Identification

We begin with a detailed inspection of your roofline, vents, eaves, gables, attic, and other entry points. We identify where bats are entering and roosting, and check for guano (bat droppings), staining, or odor buildup.

2. One-Way Exclusion Devices

We install one-way exclusion cones or netting systems that allow bats to safely exit but not re-enter. These devices are left in place for several days to ensure all bats have vacated before sealing the final openings.

3. Sealing & Exclusion Work

After confirming all bats are gone, we perform comprehensive sealing using durable materials such as animal-resistant mesh, fine screening, and sealants around rooflines, vents, gables, and other potential re-entry points. This step prevents future infestations.

4. Cleanup & Sanitation (Optional)

If bats have left behind guano or odor, we can provide enzyme fogging or cleanup treatments to neutralize smell and reduce health risks. This service is optional and billed separately.

FAQs

Are bats dangerous?

While bats themselves are beneficial, their droppings can carry fungal spores that may cause health issues. Guano cleanup should always be handled professionally.

Will you harm the bats?

No. We use humane one-way exclusion methods only.

Can I seal the holes myself?

Sealing before bats are removed can trap them inside, which may lead to property damage or odor issues. Always have a professional inspect first.

What if bats come back?

Proper sealing and exclusion prevent future infestations. We guarantee our exclusion work when done to our full recommendations.

Do you offer odor cleanup afterward?

Yes. We offer enzyme fogging and cleanup treatments for guano or urine odors (additional cost).
